Dear Portland Neighbor,
If you are a person who appreciates top quality work at a good price, please remember this about Sundeleaf Painting. Quality consists of prep, prep, and more prep.
The final step our third-generation, family-owned Portland company does to create beautiful interiors of durable quality and exteriors that hold up to Portland weather, is to paint. That’s right. Increasing the value of your living space, inside and out, begins with the unglamorous job of inspecting, marking, scraping, sanding, filling, and then sanding, again. Painting comes last before a final clean-up.
Why? Because a gorgeous paint job worthy of your home’s quality construction is all in the prep.
The standards we apply to painting homes and commercial buildings can only be met by the detailed preparation inspired by my grandfather Wes Sundeleaf over 90 years ago. With a little cash and a lot of determination, he built a company with an enviable reputation for lasting quality in painting Portland’s finest homes. He taught and instilled his techniques and value to my father, an award-winning Chrysanthemum grower with a deep aesthetic sense who was a stickler for detail. He expanded the business as demand for Sundeleaf quality spread neighbor to neighbor.
When he passed the business to me, these principles became my own. My part is to increase efficiency, reliability, communication, cleanliness, and service. The new millennium introduced new techniques, materials, and processes for sustainability and safety which we integrate with continuous improvement.
Sundeleaf’s legacy has grown with each generation. But there’s nothing like observing the work we do, scraping and filling and sanding to prepare surfaces for painting; that brings it all home. We appreciate every opportunity to learn about your project and explain the steps essential to enhancing the value of your home or business with painted surfaces and woodwork everyone will admire for a long, long time.
